Where church actually happens
Sunday is the front door. These are the rooms behind it — smaller, less polished, and where most people find they belong.
Children and youth
Age-grouped teaching runs during both Sunday gatherings and on Wednesday evenings. Younger children learn through story and play; teenagers get real questions taken seriously rather than deflected.
Every volunteer is background-checked and trained in our child protection policy, and no adult is ever alone with a child. Check-in is at the desk by the main doors; you will get a matching tag for pick-up.
Young adults
For students and everyone in their twenties. This is the stage where a lot of people quietly stop going to church, so we have tried to build something worth staying for: real teaching, real friendship, and enough room to say "I am not sure I believe this" out loud.
Meets fortnightly, plus a summer retreat and a serving week with the outreach team.
Groups through the week
-
Small groups
Eight to twelve people meeting in homes across the region. They read the passage that was preached on Sunday, eat together, and carry each other's news through the week. This is where pastoral care really lives.
-
Women's ministry
Bible studies, breakfasts and an annual retreat — alongside the unglamorous work of meals for new mothers, lifts to hospital appointments, and sitting with the bereaved.
-
Men's ministry
Early breakfasts, a study group, and practical work days maintaining the building and helping members who cannot manage repairs themselves.
-
Prayer ministry
A team that prays through every request the church receives, in confidence. Meets before each Sunday gathering and on Tuesday mornings.
-
Worship and creative team
Musicians, vocalists, sound and camera volunteers. If you play something, there is a place for you — auditions are far less frightening than you are imagining.
-
Outreach team
Runs the pantry, the blood drives and the packing days, and coordinates the church's relief partnerships. See the work.
Not sure where you would fit?
Tell us roughly what your week looks like and what you are drawn to, and someone from the team will point you at two or three things worth trying. No commitment, and nobody will chase you.
